Do you have slow running drain in your tub, shower, sink or main line?

Clogged drains and backups can happen when we least expect it. But sometimes the warning signs are there, such as a slow drain and gurgling sounds or foul smells coming from the drain.

If you notice anything unusual, you can try to mitigate the problem by using homemade drain cleaning methods (plunging, flushing with baking soda, vinegar, and hot water). This can help prevent standing water or overflowing drains.

However, if you have tried to resolve the problem on your own but are still unable to use your sinks, showers, or toilets due to a blockage, there is likely a problem farther in the drain pipe or sewer line that will require professional removal.

We have the tools and equipment to tackle even the most challenging drain problems and get your plumbing working like new again.

Common Culprits Of clogs are

  • Hair
  • Grease
  • Feminine products

When to Contact an Emergency Plumber

Is a leaking toilet considered an emergency? What about a gas leak? You might be wondering if your problem warrants an emergency call or if it can wait until morning for repair.
Plumbing emergencies involve imminent water damage. These include:

  • Burst pipes
  • Overflowing toilets
  • Basement drains backing up
  • Ruptured water heater tanks
  • Sump pump issues during heavy rain
  • Water in basement

All of these problems can quickly lead to flooding in your home if not addressed immediately

We can repair and install all faucets inside and outside of your home, business or office. From kitchen faucets, to shower faucets, to outdoor faucets we got you covered. Call Elite Plumbing to schedule an appointment today.

We install above grade and below grade commercial grease traps.

The purpose of a grease interceptor is to catch and collect fats, oils, grease, and solids (FOGS) from commercial and restaurant kitchens. As waste water flows through a kitchen’s plumbing (3-compartment sinks, prep sinks, mop sinks, dishwashers, floor drains, etc.) into a grease interceptor, the FOGS are intercepted or filtered out into a large underground holding tank. Once the grease interceptor reaches maximum capacity, a certified grease trap cleaning company will need to be called in order to service the grease interceptor. Failure to service a grease interceptor on a routine and timely basis can result in complete back-up of the kitchen’s plumbing system. This can result in kitchen shutdown and foul odors.

The kitchen is a central part of our daily lives and a focus point of our homes. For those who love to cook or spend time in their kitchen, a leaky faucet or clogged drain can quickly lead to headaches and disrupt your normal routine. If you’re having a plumbing problem in your kitchen or your interested in upgrading that old kitchen faucet or adding a pot filler then give us a call.

  • Sterilizers
  • Autoclaves
  • Amalgam separators
  • More

We can diagnose and repair any type of leak that’s coming from your plumbing system or bathroom fixture. If you see water where it shouldn’t be don’t hesitate and give us a call.

Why Leaking Pipes Need to Be Fixed ASAP

Leaking water lines should not be treated like a faucet leak. Even a small pipe leak can drive up your water bill, create ideal conditions for mold growth, and perhaps even weaken your ceiling or floors if left unattended long enough.

Hidden leaks are serious plumbing problems that can damage your home and result in costly restoration services.

  • Leaking pipes that suddenly burst can lead to flooding in your home
  • Mold and mildew due to excess moisture can affect your health
  • Slab leaks under your foundation can weaken your home’s structural integrity
  • Wastewater leaking out of sewer lines can pool in your yard and create unwanted odors
  • A significant amount of water is wasted, increasing you water bill

If you suspect a leak, give us a call today!

To protect against unexpected catastrophes, installing an automatic shut off valve is the easiest and most affordable approach. A water heater leak, no matter how small it is, can cost a lot of money, even if you’re home when the leak occurs.

With an automatic shut off valve, the leak is detected early and the flow is stopped. Even better, some types of automatic shut off valves include a disconnect for the power as well, which could mean the difference between repairing a leak and replacing your water heater.

How do they work?

Most automatic shut off valves use a sensor that is able to detect the presence of a liquid. When the sensor receives positive feedback for water or other liquids, it sends a signal to an electronic switch and the water supply is shut off.

High end sensors will also turn off the power to your water heater, eliminating the problem of burnt heating elements in an empty water tank. Some digital shut off valves will send a signal to your cell phone and allow you take control of the situation remotely, shutting down the water, and turning off the power.

Installation of a leak stop device today could literally save you thousands tomorrow if you water heater failed. Call Elite Plumbing & Home Services to schedule your install today.

  • Do you want to add a shower inside or outside, an outdoor kitchen sink, relocate the washing machine in a more convenient location, or add an entire bathroom? Well give us a call we can plumb it all.

If you have polybutylene piping, quest piping, galvanized piping, corroded piping or any other piping in poor condition. Give us a call. We have several options for repair or replacement.

Common Water piping Problems:

– Polybutylene (PB) (also known as Quest piping) was a plastic manufactured between 1978 and mid-1995 for use as piping in home plumbing systems. It was inexpensive and offered plenty of advantages over other materials, such as flexibility, ease of installation, resistance to freezing. Pipes made from polybutylene were installed in up to 10 million homes in the Unites States during that period. Production was ceased in mid-1996 after scores of allegations surfaced claiming that polybutylene pipes were rupturing and causing property damage. In the homes that still contain this material, homeowners must either pay to have the pipes replaced or risk a potentially expensive plumbing failure.

Above ground Polybutylene piping is usually Gray in color but can be blue, silver, or white and usually contains markings such as “Quest” or “PB 2110”. Underground Polybutylene piping is typically Blue in color but can be Gray.

-Galvanized piping will eventually start to corrode and can pose a hazard for drinking water, which makes it unsafe for drinking water in the long run. The problem isn’t the zinc coating but lead and cadmium, two heavy metals that can exist in the zinc because of the galvanizing process.

Corrosion in galvanized pipes can cause lower water pressure throughout your home. If some of your taps have low water pressure, but others don’t, this could be a symptom of galvanized pipes. Corrosion can build up inside unevenly to the point where water pressure is almost nonexistent.

Also known to cause brown stains on porcelain sink or bathtub.

Pitting or corrosion of copper is typically due to age, pipe quality, or water chemistry.

Common drain line piping problems:

-Galvanized drain lines close up and eventually clog due to corrosion build up on the interior walls just as galvanized water supply pipes do.

-Cast iron- Cast iron piping problems.1) Scale buildup on interior walls. 2) Deterioration or channeling: usually caused by grease flushed throughout your sewage or drain system, grease will eventually cause the pipe to rot away and will result in a channel at the bottom of the pipe. Channeling can also be caused from chemicals or drain cleaners. 3) Splits or cracks: from age, defects, settling of house/building or movement of piping. 4) Root intrusion: Roots will travel long ways to find water and once they get inside its probably time to get the pipe replaced.

If you are experiencing any of the problems above or are concerned about the piping in your home or business, then call us today to schedule an appointment to repair or replace your pipe.

Why is Pipe Locating Required Before Digging?

If you are planning to carry out a major home construction project—such as installing a pool, building an accessory dwelling unit, performing landscaping, or putting up a fence—you will need to make sure you don’t accidentally damage buried utility lines in the process. Taking the time to identify underground pipes helps you avoid interrupted service, expensive repairs, and potential injury You may have heard about the national campaign urging you to “Call Before You Dig.” This initiative informs homeowners to call 811 and have technicians mark public utility lines so you can work around them during your home construction project. The service is provided free of charge and is an important step in the pre-construction stage.

However, calling 811 only covers the locating of public utility lines. You will also need to identify and mark your private service lines—the gas, sewer, and water pipes that run from your home to the main public lines. This is where we come in, we have the tools and equipment to accurately trace your service lines so you can safely complete your construction project.

-Sagging/ bellied pipe the creates a low point for items flushed to build up and cause reoccurring clogs. Usually from poorly compacted bedding material.
-Sheared joints: Sometimes sections of pipe will separate at the joint and drop or shift usually caused by age or settling of pipe
-Channeled pipe:

Other Sewer line problems
-Collapsed or crushed pipe
-Pipe broken from utility company using trenchless technology and hitting or penetrating through the sewer pipe
-Objects lodged in pipe
-Corroded pipe

Slab leaks are often difficult to notice right away. Some homeowners go months or years without knowing they have this problem. If left unaddressed for too long, slab leaks can cause your home’s foundation to shift and eventually collapse.

Elite Plumbing & Home Services can diagnose your plumbing problem to confirm there is a slab leak and present you with options for repair.

What is a Slab Leak?

Slab leaks are pin hole leaks that occur in your underground water lines, below your home’s concrete slab. In many cases, it’s the hot water lines that develop leaks due to an adverse reaction between the higher water temperature and the pipe material.

Slab leaks are caused by various factors, with the most common being:

  • Excessive pressure on the pipes due to construction work or shifting soil
  • Corrosion in older copper or galvanized steel pipes
  • Rattling pipes that come in contact with surrounding rocks
  • Unprotected copper or galvanized piping making contact with the concrete

Good news, most of the time they can be successfully repaired with help from an experienced plumbing professional.

What are the Warning Signs?

Since slab leaks affect the pipes beneath your home, they are much harder to notice compared to other plumbing issues. But because they are so similar to pinhole leaks inside the home, many of the warning signs are the same:

  • Drop in water pressure
  • Unexplained jump in your water bill
  • Sudden mold or mildew growth around your home
  • Sound of water running constantly in your pipes

So how do you know if your problem is a slab leak or an indoor pipe leak? In addition to the above trouble signs, slab leaks are often accompanied by:

  • Damp hot spots on your floors
  • Frequently running water heater
  • Water pooling outside your home
  • Cracks in your flooring
  • Settling of your concrete floor

Know the warning signs of slab leaks to protect your home in time. Call Elite Plumbing & Home Services today to repair your leak.

Sump pumps are a very important item in your home. Sump pumps direct excess water away from your house and help you avoid water damage, flooding, and mold growth. They are often installed in a pit inside your basement. When water enters the pit, the device pumps the water out and away from your property. They should be inspected periodically.

Common causes of sump pump failure

  • power outages or surges
  • overheating from numerous reasons including overuse, being undersized, float sticking in on position
  • Frozen or clogged discharge lines
  • poor maintenance
  • improper installation
  • Age

Do you want to replace or add a new sump pump or pit in your basement? Is your sump pump running too often, making abnormal noises, or not running at all? Then give us a call we can discuss repair or replacement options. We offer many pump sizes and configurations. Including:

  • pumps powered by water,
  • battery backup up sump pumps and
  • standard electric sump pumps with or without an alarm.

We offer trenchless options for your underground water lines to keep landscaping disruption to a minimum. However trenchless technology can only be used in the right scenarios. Call us today to discuss your situation to see if you may be a candidate for the use of trenchless technology.

Then you may have a broken or obsolete type of water service line that you should get repaired immediately.
